Research Development Team
UNT plans to build a Research Development Team (RDT) to support its faculty in the development of research, education and training proposals. The Team’s primary responsibility will be to expand UNT’s external funding, particularly federal research grants. RDT will promote new and junior faculty, multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research teams, research affinity groups, and long-term proposal planning. The Team will help develop research partnerships across the UNT colleges and departments, with the UNT Health Science Center, and with other institutions in the DFW area, Texas and the nation.
The team will have extensive expertise and experience in information resources, training programs, and proposal development (including writing, editing, formatting and design) to help new faculty, faculty inexperienced in successful proposal writing, faculty expanding into new program areas, and faculty building teams and developing proposals for centers and institutes. RDT will also help in creating special programs to aid in diversifying research across the campus, developing strategic partnerships, and providing special assistance to groups that are under-represented in research at UNT as well as nationwide.
